How to start, what can be customized and what happens between a sample and production. Find the short answer first, then read the detail you need.
Starting a project
Can we start with just an idea?
Yes. Creators, founders and enterprise teams can start with an idea for a small-screen or screenless wearable. Tell us who will use it and what it should do. We can define the product together.
Read the full answerCan we start with a small batch?
Yes. We support flexible production, from working prototypes to small pilot batches, then batch deliveries and repeat orders. Feedback helps refine the product before production gradually increases. Quantities and schedules are agreed for each project.
Read the full answerWhat does the engineering cost cover?
The proposal should separate development work, prototypes, tooling and test fixtures from the unit price. The scope and payment stages are agreed before the work starts.
Read the full answerHow will we work across time zones?
Agree regular meeting times, a project contact and a shared place for decisions and files. Clear written updates keep the work moving between calls.

How much can fit in a compact wearable?
We work through the screen, battery, electronics, antennas and sensors together. The goal is a product that can be worn and used comfortably, with enough space for assembly and reliable operation.
Read the full answerHow do you choose and integrate the display?
Start with what people need to read and operate. Screen size, shape, brightness, touch behaviour and cover glass should match the task and the available power.
Read the full answerHow do you define water and dust protection?
Define the real exposure first: sweat, cleaning, rain or immersion. The housing, seals, buttons, camera and acoustic openings then need a test plan for that use.

Can the device run only the software we need?
That can be part of the software scope. We first agree the applications, system services and network connections the product actually needs.
Read the full answerCan updates use our own server?
We can assess an update flow that uses your chosen server. The device, firmware and update service need to support the same signing, version and recovery rules.
Read the full answerCan employees use just one work app?
A dedicated work mode can make the device easier to use. We can assess automatic app launch, limited settings and button actions for the intended workflow.

What is checked before shipment?
Agree the acceptance plan before the build. It should cover incoming parts, assembly checks and finished-device tests, with clear limits and a record of the result.
Read the full answerCan test records be linked to each device?
Traceability can be included in the production plan. Agree the serial number, the records to link and how your team will access them.
Read the full answerWhich reliability tests does a product need?
The test plan should reflect where the device is worn and used. Drops, temperature, sweat, button use, charging and long-running software can each create different risks.

What if a component goes out of production?
Review supply risk early and track important components during the programme. If an end-of-life notice arrives, the options may include a final purchase, an alternative part or a design update.
Read the full answerHow do we plan repeat orders?
We can plan production in stages, using expected demand and feedback from earlier batches. For parts with longer lead times, we can discuss advance purchasing or buffer stock. Quantities, funding and inventory responsibility need to be agreed.
Read the full answerHow is shipping and landed cost agreed?
The quote should state the delivery point and which party handles freight, insurance, customs and taxes. Product classification and local requirements need confirmation for the destination.
Read the full answerWho handles product approvals?
List the target markets and intended use early. The project plan should identify the necessary reviews, testing work, documentation and the party responsible for each step.

Who owns the custom tooling?
Tooling ownership, use, maintenance and transfer should be written into the commercial agreement. The asset list and payment milestones help make that arrangement clear.
Read the full answerHow are existing and new IP separated?
Before development, identify what each party brings, what will be created for the project and what rights are needed to make and support the product.
Read the full answerCan we agree confidentiality before sharing more?
Yes. Use the first message to outline the project without confidential detail. If an NDA is needed, both parties can review and sign it before exchanging the agreed material.
Read the full answerWho handles engineering and manufacturing?
We coordinate product definition, engineering, validation and manufacturing for creators, founders and enterprise teams. You do not need to bring a complete technical team. The project plan sets out who handles each stage and the role of any production partner.
Read the full answerCan we review production arrangements before ordering?
Yes, raise your supplier-review requirements early. The scope can cover the proposed production site, quality process, records and any visit or third-party review that needs arranging.
