# Can we agree confidentiality before sharing more?

[All questions](https://syntaforge.com/en/knowledge/)

## The short answer

Yes. Use the first message to outline the project without confidential detail. If an NDA is needed, both parties can review and sign it before exchanging the agreed material.

## In more detail

The agreement should identify the parties, protected information, permitted use and the people who may receive it. The wording and process need both parties’ approval.

Sending an enquiry does not automatically sign an NDA. The website keeps the first contact simple, and the later document exchange can be arranged directly.
